Search election funding disclosures

You can search for contents of election funding disclosures on the basis of completed reports. You can view information on individual elections (election campaign funding, disclosers, donors, etc.) on a real-time basis. The information is based on the election funding disclosures received by the NAOF.

Regarding loan repayments, the NAOF receives advance disclosures, election funding disclosures and reports on outstanding loans and support:

• The advance disclosure is voluntary and contains a plan for election campaign expenses and funding.
• Only elected candidates and alternate members are required to submit election funding disclosures.
• Only the elected candidates and alternate members with outstanding election funding loans are required to report on the loans and support for loan repayments. The obligation to report loans and support for loan repayments only applies to parliamentary elections, county elections and elections to the European Parliament.

The contents of the disclosures are published in CSV format under section ‘Data sets’, which means that all disclosures and their contents can be viewed in table format.

Report descriptions

You can also narrow the search for election funding information. You can retrieve the reports covering specific elections that show you the lists of the information that you have selected. The information contained in the reports is described in more detail below.

The reports are based on the contents of the election funding disclosures received by the NAOF. All reports are in real time.

• Disclosers: List of disclosers (elected candidates and alternate members).
• Largest recipients: Disclosers receiving the largest contributions and the sums involved.
• Election campaign funding, contributions and expenses: The report lists total election campaign funding, contributions and expenses for the selected elections.
• Largest donors: Largest donors and the sums involved.
• Contributions by political party: Number of disclosures for the selected election and total contributions received by each political party.
• Discrepancy between funding and expenses: Such disclosures submitted in connection with the selected election where the funding entered is either higher or lower than the expenses.
• Disclosures by person: All disclosures by a specific person in all elections.
• Disclosures received after a specific date: The report lists such disclosures submitted in connection with an election that have been received after a specific date or received late or that have been supplemented after the deadline.
• Disclosers who have failed to comply with the deadline: Those subject to the disclosure obligation whose disclosure has not been received by the deadline.
• Missing election funding disclosures: Disclosers that have failed to submit election funding disclosures.

Data sets

The NAOF publishes the election funding disclosures in CSV format. Four data files are published on each election:

• funding rows for advance disclosures
• funding sources and expenses itemised in advance disclosures
• funding rows for election funding disclosures
• funding sources and expenses itemised in election funding disclosures.

Data sets

The advance disclosures of the candidates who were not elected or appointed as alternate members will remain available online for 30 days after the confirmation of the election results. On that date, the information will also be removed from CSV files.
