A responsible candidate discloses their election campaign funding openly
Each candidate can increase the transparency of election campaign funding by filing an advance disclosure of the funding of their election campaign.
Advance disclosures can be filed in the county and municipal elections between 13 March and 12 April 2025. The advance disclosure contains a plan for the election campaign funding and campaign costs. If the candidate is standing in both the county and the municipal elections, they should file a separate advance disclosure for both elections.
It is advisable to file the advance disclosure before advance voting begins. The more candidates file an advance disclosure, the better it serves open government, democracy and voters.
