Itemisation of election campaign costs and funding, and advance disclosure
These disclosers shall send itemisations of their election campaign costs and funding via the service portal in connection with the financial statements of the year in which the election was held.
A political party shall submit an itemisation of its election campaign costs and funding within three months of the adoption of the financial statements. The information shall be submitted in connection with the financial statements covering the time of the elections. Thus, an itemisation of election campaign costs and funding related to the 2023 parliamentary elections, for example, shall be submitted in connection with the financial statements for 2023.
An association referred to in the government grant decision shall submit an itemisation of its election campaign costs and funding within one month of the adoption of its financial statements. The information shall be submitted as part of the financial statements that cover the election day.
The advance disclosure is voluntary and can only be filed by a political party or an association referred to in the government grant decision. The advance disclosure contains a plan for the election campaign costs and funding. The advance disclosure can be filed with the NAOF no earlier than six months before the election day and no later than on the day before the election.
